Last night was my final night working at Monoloco!!! Although I love it, I just can´t keep working this much. I was putting in easily 60 hour weeks (with my full time job of course), and it is not worth it to me. I will make enough money to survive for now.
The only big expenses are my rent and food, but one must eat! My rent is close to 2000Q a month and food costs me probably 100Q a week in groceries plus a million for eating out - only because I am 27 and still prefer to eat out than cook. I think deep inside I want to learn how to cook something beside pasta, chicken and cereal, but I just can´t be bothered. And when I am always around people that like to eat out, it is like Why Not?
I moved into this wonderful apartment about one month ago. I live with my good friend Max (boss at Mono) and this other really nice girl.
I have this apartment for the next 4 months, then I will have to search once again. booooooo
Don´t want to think about that right now....
Things I am going to do now that I have free time:
1. Buy a gym pass and ACTUALLY USE IT! Before moving here it was easy to work out, working in a gym environment really keeps you motivated. Here, alone, away from a gym - so difficult. Last month I bought a gym pass, and I went 2 times...I almost went for a 3rd, but I chose eating sushi instead - I think that was a smart decision. ha
2. Read a book (I think that is what people call it)
3. Sleep at a decent hour (maybe...this will be a work in progress)
4. Cook - sticking strictly to cereal, pasta and rice...no meat!
5. Watch TV
6. Blog
7. Not eat Monoloco food ANYMORE. Free meals are nice, but I am soo over the same 5 meals I eat (because those are the only good things on the menu...mind you it is typical bar food...chicken fingers, wings, burgers). I was working anywhere from 4-5 times a week.
8. Spend more time with mi amor!
Cheers to something new!

I speak English
People are so funny!
I would guess at least every 3 days I get asked if I speak English. HAHA
I think this is so funny! It is probably because of my PERFECT Spanish accent, and the way I can´t role my r´s, or maybe it is because I only use the 17 verbs I know. So when I can´t think of the correct verb I either A) make it up - which sometimes works or B) act it out- this is always interesting... yea, right - that´s it!
But it is true, I get asked all of the time if I am Dutch or Swedish...both of which are compliments - Thank You! I guess it is my hair and blue eyes...
But seriously, the moment my mouth opens and I speak English, some people look at me with their eyes wide open, mouth dropped and they say, ¨Wow, you speak English?¨Like they are the most confused person at the time. haha I get a little kick out of it every time.
I have recently been getting asked if I am local -again, Thanks, but no. It becomes clear the moment I open my mouth. :)
Therefore, I have decided to make up a story about my life. I am sick of saying the same one over and over again, and people don´t really think I am from the states, so I have decided to tweak my story a little bit. All in good fun!

FML
In a matter of one week I have managed to lose my passport, cell phone, camera, and have my bike pedals stolen. YES, my pedals ... not the bike, but just the pedals. I was at work at the time, so my mind and eyes were somewhere else.
Huh, funny. I guess my pedals were a little more cleaner than those pedals on the bike right next to mine! ha
-I have recently found my passport, no worries!
